Who oversees LocalTrust?
LocalTrust is governed by an independent Board of Trustees elected by participating entities. The Board is responsible for overseeing the management of the trust and selecting key service providers, including the Administrator and Investment Advisor. Currently, the Board has retained Public Trust Advisors, LLC as both Administrator and Investment Advisor, ensuring professional oversight and adherence to state investment policies.
Who is eligible to use LocalTrust?
Any county, city, town, school district, special district, or other political subdivision of the State of Texas, as well as departments, agencies, or instrumentalities thereof, may join LocalTrust Texas as a Participant and take advantage of the investment options offered.
How can an eligible entity participate in LocalTrust Texas?
Enrolling in LocalTrust Texas is simple. Eligible entities can join by completing the following steps:
- Review the Trust Indenture
- Review the applicable Information Statement(s)
- Adopt, execute, and provide LocalTrust Texas with a copy of a resolution adopting the Indenture and naming a Designee to participate. The LocalTrust Registration Packet includes a model resolution.
- Keep the original forms for your records and send the completed packet to the LocalTrust Client Service Team by email at clientservices@localtrusttx.com or by fax at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
Does Board oversight differ between the LocalTrust Government Pool and Prime Pool?
No. The LocalTrust Board of Trustees administers and oversees all investment portfolios offered by LocalTrust Texas now and in the future.
What are the business hours at LocalTrust Texas?
The LocalTrust Client Service Team is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT. Please consult the Contact page for holiday closures.
Is there a maximum or minimum investment requirement for LocalTrust Texas pools?
No. There is no maximum or minimum investment requirement for participation in LocalTrust Texas pools.
Is there a maximum or minimum number of transactions for LocalTrust Texas pools?
No. There is no limit to the number of transactions a Participant may execute with LocalTrust Texas pools.
What are the fees associated with wires or ACH transfers?
LocalTrust Texas does not charge any banking fees to its Participants. However, your sending or receiving bank may assess wiring or ACH fees. We recommend checking with your bank to confirm any potential costs.
How can I submit an audit confirmation to LocalTrust Texas?
LocalTrust Texas is accessible on www.confirmation.com. Select the name Public Trust Advisors when entering your request. Client Services will receive notification and process your audit confirmation through the platform.
